Until My Arrival

My promises will not be broken!

Tell my people that my promises will come to pass!

The curtains have opened to showcase my glory and splendor.

The city on the hill is MINE!

The sun and stars may shine for awhile until my arrival

Matthew 5:14-15

“You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.”

Matthew 24:29

“Immediately after the distress of those days the sun will be darkened,
and the moon will not give its light;
the stars will fall from the sky,
and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.”

Isaiah 13:10

“The stars of heaven and their constellations
will not show their light.
The rising sun will be darkened
and the moon will not give its light.”

Isaiah 34:4

All the stars in the sky will be dissolved
and the heavens rolled up like a scroll;
all the starry host will fall
like withered leaves from the vine,
like shriveled figs from the fig tree.

Revelation 21:23

The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it,
for the glory of God gives it light,
and the Lamb is its lamp.

  1. love. it.

    • Thank you! 🙂 I felt the need to grab my pen and write these words during worship. At the time I had no idea what the Bible had to say about the sun and stars. The last line gives me goosebumps!

      • it really hit me as I read it… because i just wrote a book about the “end times.” funny thing is that I have NEVER gotten into all the “end times” hype and have pretty much ignored it… and then in an instant God gave me an entire book. I wrote the whole thing in 7 weeks and 3 days… and now it is in print. it was the most unreal thing I have experienced. anyway… your words jumped off the screen and it was cool to see Old/New parallel. peace… Brandon

      • Wow! Thank you for sharing! Your words bless me because I’m in the SAME boat! I have pretty much ignored end times stuff too. I found all the hype annoying. Then I felt the need to write these words and like you said, in an instant, He had my attention! I had to repent for not reading Revelation or knowing what the Bible had to say.

        I’ve also ignored a lot of the bride and groom hype related to end times. However right after I wrote the above words down, I saw a picture in my mind. It was of the back of a bride with a hand at the base of her back. I felt that the Lord was saying.. I’m zipping up the zipper of my bride’s dress.

        How can I get ahold of your book? I would love to see what you wrote!

      • well… you are seriously going to freak because I talk a whole chapter about the bridegroom and the Wedding Feast. my website offers a free download of the first two chapter and there is also a link to where you can buy it on Amazon. I look forward to continuing this conversation. keep me posted!

  2. Thank you! I’ll check it out! Please keep me posted as well! 🙂
